Photojournalism

This week's theme for I ♥ Faces is "Photojournalism." This woman intrigues me every time I see her. She is always sitting outside of Kalkaji Temple. Just looking at her, you can tell she has quite a story...

Just for Fun :)

When we were in Thailand this last time, we went to a 4th of July Celebration. At that celebration there was a dress-up area for the kids... I couldn't resist :)

Beach Fun!

This week's theme for I ♥ Faces is "Beach Fun!" This is a picture from Thailand. Aashini was terrified of the sand at first. This is from the first time she went out on the beach and was scared of the sand :) It cracks me up :)

Smiles!

This week at I ♥ Faces the photo contest theme is "Smiles". This theme makes me happy :)
Here's my entry this week:
We were up in the mountains learning language for a month. While we were there, a holiday occurred where people came from the villages all around in order to sell things. It was sort of dreary out and misting rain the whole day but everyone was so happy to be "in town" that they all seemed to be smiling even though the weather was terrible! :) It was a fun day!

Update: I won 7th Place for this Photo!

Kalkaji Temple

There's a temple not far from our house that we usually take people to when they come to visit. There's a lady there that I love to photograph. I have taken her picture every time I've been there.
She's so interesting. I really want to know her story. Maybe one day she'll tell it to us :)

J & P's Wedding!

My friend J got married a couple of weeks ago. She asked me to take some pictures. I had so much fun doing so!
It was a fun cross-cultural wedding. She married P, a South Asian man, so there were some fun aspects of both cultures at the wedding!
Her Mehndi was so beautiful!
Having fun in photoshop :)
Before going into the church for the wedding!
J and her sisters before the wedding.
Officially married!!
At the reception. I love taking pictures of other people taking pictures :)
J changed saris for the reception. She looked beautiful. It was a really neat wedding and we really had a great time!
If you want to see more pictures you can go to this link. Thanks J for letting me be a part of your special day!
